When I grew up I always kept looking at those five pictures that were hanging on the wall in my parents home. These five pictures were in black & white with motifs of places that all are situated within 15 minutes of home. It was my father who was the photographer and he had developed them in the wardrobe where he kept his darkroom. When I moved to my own place I brought the pictures with me and they are still a part of the décor in my home.
Growing up I can remember how I just too borrow my father’s camera from age of around twelve and onwards often the motifs were of landscapes and nature but I never made the effort to try learn photography in a proper way. When I got older in the early to mid twenties I bought my first SLR a Nikon D50 and with this camera I began to photograph a bit more again after a slow period of a couple of years. When my father passed away I inherited his Nikon D200 and I began to learn in a proper manor even if this was mostly be “trial and error”. I joined the Swedish website fotosidan.se and there I got a lot of tips and pointers. As time goes by my interest increase for photography and today I shooting must of my images with my Nikon D700 and editiing in Photoshop CS4. So I am a Swedish amateur/hobby photographer in his early thirties who will try to publish some of my creations that hopefully will be to your liking. If you have any comments or questions I would much appreciate if you send them to me via the contact form. /Torben |
